Michael Fassbender, a two time Oscar Nominee.
Marion Cotillard, an Oscar Winner.
Jeremy Irons, another Oscar Winner.
All put together, one would have delivered a stellar of a movie; had they just read the script of Assassin's Creed first for, it is a major dud, to start with!
Based on the all-famous game; the movie revolves around Callum Lynch, who experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar against the powerful Templar organization, in 15th Century Spain.
While the film boasts of quite decent fight choreography sequences and some stunning CGI; there is hardly anything that keeps one hooked on. The plot has more than its fair share of gigantic holes and truly ponderous moments.
In fact, the movie clings onto the game a tad bit too much; to a point that those who are not familiar with the game, won't be able to much sense of it all. Maybe, even some game players may struggle for, while the plot if taken from the game, it is simply too opaque to understand.
All in all, ASSASSIN'S CREED maybe fun to look at , there is hardly anything that will make you care for the characters or even see through the end of the movie; making it easily of the worst movies of 2016 for, I would not rate it more than 1.5 on 5! Cheers.
