Ek Thi Daayan movie review

What a waste!

Emraan, Huma, Konkana, Kalki, Ekta, Vishal Bhardwaj – bunch of “good-at-their-work” people have created a “bad-at-scaring-you” psychological horror movie. A very good case study on “things-do-go-wrong”!

The movie could have been far better, given the newness in concept (daayan/witchcraft) & loads of experience of those who acted, directed or produced the movie but Alas!!

Emraan, with a disturbed childhood where he loses his Sister & father at the hand of a Daayan, grows up to become a successful Magician. But the Saaya of Daayan keeps haunting him. The dreams become real and he faces the Daayan once again. This time he may lose his adopted son. And he fights back …! With a  twist towards the end of movie (80% predictable twist), the movie becomes all a more ugly.

Sorry, can’t bear writing more about it.
