We Gujaratis apparently love having our own cuisine outside of the house very much, as can be evidently seen by uncountable such restaurants that have popped up in the city over the last couple of years. But the best of them all (Personally, the one that I’ve been waiting for) is finally here to fill you up to the brim with their mind boggling delicacies.
Curious much? Well, we are talking about none other than PANCHVATI GAURAV, a household name in some of the biggest metro cities when it comes to Gujarati and Rajasthani food. Operating since 1982 and spread in over 12 cities with 30 outlets, this is one of the oldest thali restaurants in India; and with its 31st outlet (and the first one in the city!) now in aapnu amdavad, we really couldn’t have asked for more!
Opened recently on first October with 68 different rotating menus and 2,245 delicacies from Gujarat and Rajasthan, this restaurant’s trademark style of serving thalis with love, affection and a unique blend of traditional experience with new combinations will satiate you to the fullest for sure! Their ever courteous staff, spacious place, ambient lights and cozy home like ambience will make you want to sink into those seats for all eternity, trust me!
With an array of preparations ranging from delicious FARSAANS, scrumptious subzis like PANEER DO PYAZA, BHINDI MASALA, ALOO MUTTER, RAJWADI GATTA accompanied by piping hot ROTI and PURI and their oh so delicious DALBATI and BHAKHRI, this huge thali has something to offer for everyone’s taste palates. The list is still not over as you also have an option of savouring both Rajasthani and Gujarati KADHI that pairs up beautifully with the KHICHDI or the steaming RICE along with SITAFAL BASUNDI and KESAR JALEBI that hits just the right note of sweetness and lusciousness. The SALAD, PICKLES and CHAAS will fill you up to the neck with mouth watering goodness too!
As I sit here with a full stomach and a satisfied heart and soul, all I can say is that this is the best thali in the town as of now ( And I am a proud Gujarati, so that’s saying something!).
