There are a few places in Ahmedabad which offer an amazing range of Parathas made in a way that would surely drag you to one of those Sunday mornings where you find your mom making tasty and finger licking aloo parathas with curd and pickle for the breakfast. This concept of making and selling tasty and flavourful parathas in the city has been reaching on top of the list especially for students who live in hostels and wish to relish and enjoy a meal that would satisfy their taste buds and their tummy that desires for some home style food and something which is more healthier in terms of nutrition.

There must be many Paratha Joints in Ahmedabad which aren’t famous and unexplored. One of those joints is Krishna Aloo Paratha Centre located outside the CEPT University. They chose the best place to set up their joint because they have a huge group of students visiting them from nearby universities and colleges every minute who wish to eat piping hot parathas with chilled buttermilk. Cheese Aloo Paratha, Gobi Paratha, Cheese Onion Garlic Paratha are their most ordered items.

On the other hand, Punjab Paratha located in the Navrangpura area offers an exquisite range of parathas and also flavourful combos and fixed thali. The most ordered parathas over there are Aloo Paratha, Aloo Cheese, Panner Paratha. Also people tend to order various combos like the Veg. Kohlapuri with 2 simple parathas. Having just one paratha over there would be enough for your tummy because it is big in size compared to the home made normal sized, topped with a lot of butter and has a bowl of curd and salad to enhance your meal. Also, who gives such a generous serving just for 50 Rs.  While you plan to hit this paratha joint, I’m sure you’d experience the authentic taste of Punjab!

Next up is for those who love eggs, I came across a very new and simple egg dish with a unique name, which I had it at A-One Egg Center located right outside the Vastrapur Lake. So this dish is called John Paratha or as they say Mughlai Paratha. It is prepared by making a 3 egg omelet in a pan then adding chopped bread cubes along with tomatoes, onion, coriander and lots of cheese or mayo. And to finish it up they fold everything in the omelet. It tastes heavenly when you experience the burst of flavours in your mouth.

So, these are few lesser known paratha joints across the city which you should definitely plan to go and satisfy your hunger. And I guess spending 50 bucks for this kind of heavy meals is way better than wasting 150 bucks over a Pizza.
