Kalpana Mangaldas Children's Museum

Does anyone know that we have a huge skeleton of Elephant in our city?

Well, I didn’t know before I visited this museum. Yes, there is a museum in our city which has a giant elephant skeleton (3.19m high). Earlier also we’d told you and here comes one more. Ahmedabad has lot of things to do other than movies, restaurants, cafes etc but then without knowing what is around, we say Ahmedabad is boring and we don’t really find any better option. But, here we give you one more option again. I know it’s not everyone’s interest but why not give it a try?

We recommend you to visit this museum. Kalpana Mangaldas Children’s museum is one beautiful place to visit. The museum will tell you more about the culture around you and across India. It displays how beautiful the different casts used to dress up in the past. What kind of vessels & weapons they used to use and much more.

The museum is a treasure chest of exhibits from more than fifty four states & countries. Indian outfits are always appreciated by the world but have you seen how the people of other countries dress up? Well, you definitely need to see that at this museum. From India, you’ll see experience the traditions from Rajasthan, Keral, Manipur, Gujarati, Mizoram etc. From other countries see how Austria, Bhutan, Nepal, South Africa, Japanese, Indonesian etc used to dress up in past.

This museum has lot more to see like toys, Crafts, Masks of different gods and goddesses, puppets, weapons, musical instruments and the list is endless. But, the best part is; the foundation has kept the early hours especially for the school children so that the schools can arrange a 2-3 hours trip during school hours.

There is no other place from where children can get such amazing information. So to the schools and the parents, let your children see how the past was. Let them ask questions and understand the old us.

Not to forget the coin museum. It will mesmerize too!
