Kerala Food Festival at Cambay Grand Ahmedabad

Kerala Food Festival at Cambay Grand Ahmedabad

With a quest to taste something really unusual this weekend we landed ourselves at Cambay Grand. The reason we were here was, Kerala Food Festival at their Pool Side Grill Restaurant. With a huge array of varieties available we were really confused and at our rescue was Chef Awadhesh Kumar who explained us all the details about what was being served.

We started with Tomato Rasam Soup and we were so delighted that we couldn’t wait to try everything else being served. Another surprise for our taste buds was Beet Root Pachdi, which was like a twist to the regular coconut chutney. Next on the list was Mix Veg Thoran from the tawa Malabari Porotta.

Non vegeterians who have always complained that they don’t get good fish or prawns in Ahmedabad, this is a must visit! Kerala fish curry is packed with flavor and tender yet generous fish. Chemmen Ularthi Yathu is a prawn preparation which you will love for its typical South Indian flavors and crunchy freshness. Last but not the least is the Calicut Kozhi Biryani, chef’s recommendation, rightly so! Well cooked and full of flavour, enjoy it with or without the traditional Raita.

If you are not yet satisfied, Lemon Rice and Sambhar will not fail to delight you. At last, Semiya Paysam left that sweet lingering taste. You can opt for freshly cut fruits and ice cream too.

P.S. When you order authentically delicious Dosas and Uttapam from their live counter, don’t forget to ask for a special chutney and if you are a fan, you can send us a fan mail too
