Movie Review - Now you see me 2

Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Daniel Radcliffe, Lizzy Caplan, Jay Chou, Sanaa Lathan, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.

After a blistering trailer, NOW YOU SEE ME 2 hits the big screen and starts 18 months from the time the 4 Horsemen flee from a stage show; right into the murky grasp of a tech wizard in Macau! What follows is a fun romp with enough magic, twists & turns to keep you guessing, albeit a predictable scene or 2, here and there.

Deciphering the story will simply ruin the experience for you, and though the movie doesn't offer any great surprise element, as compared to the prequel; Immense freshness comes in the form of the latest addition - Lizzy Caplan as Lulu, who stepped into Isla Fischer's shoes. Not only was the character a breath of fresh air but, it would be fair to stay that hilarity ensued in an otherwise stale reprisal of the original.

That being said, the other cast members don't seem to falter, nailing their bits with ease. Apart from the horsemen, you see Dylan Rhodes & Thaddeus Bradley reprising their roles; and furthermore, have their own 'battle for vengeance' to see who comes out on top. Michael Caine has his own agenda behind it all, while the addition of Daniel Radcliff as the 'evil' (tech) wizard is pretty adequate.

All in all, this is one classic Summer film, with no controversial topics surrounding the same; that asks you simply get a tub of popcorn and not look closely but, just complicated enough to keep your engaged.
The simplistic nature works in the movie's favour for, you can even take your mother, father, and grandparents along. Be assured that they are bound to have a fun experience; at least my mom did.

Want to escape from your real life for a while? NOW YOU SEE ME 2 is one film that gives you that escape; for which I give it 3 Shors on 5! Cheers.
