A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….
It’s been 39 years since the first Star Wars Movie was released, Episode 4:  A new hope.  Four Decades and Lucasfilm still manages to keep the audience at the edge of their seats.  Whether you’re a fan of the Franchise or not, ROGUE ONE is an absolute must watch.  Diverting from the usual ways we give reviews, we will be splitting our opinion here, one for the Jedi knights and the second episode for the Rookie wookies (the newbie’s to the franchise)

For the Rookie Wookies:
If you are contemplating on whether the movie is worth a watch, and if it makes sense to watch it without watching the others, this section is for you. To instil you with HOPE, let us begin by telling you that this is the FIRST EVER STANDALONE film of the STAR WARS universe.  Meaning, you need not worry too much about the other episodes.

We do admit, there will be moments in the movie which might leave you blank and wonder why people next to you are going bonkers over a few scenes, but that’s alright. If you’ve ever heard of a character which rhymes with Flarth Braider, or can hear someone who sounds like he has asthma, you are good to go.

For the JEDI KNIGHTS:
As you’ve probably heard, ROGUE ONE is the sequel to the prequels of the sequels of the prequels that are the originals in which this is not a prequel of, but not a sequel to the sequel of the originals.

As many call it, STAR WARS 3.9 or 3.5, as the movie plays out to be a mastermind of filler in between Episode Three and Four.  The movie stars of slow and being a fan, I did have my doubts of it being able to meet my expectations. Long story short, the force was very strong with this one. Subtle references to the previous movies, ROGUE ONE will definitely make you spring right out of your seats in sheer excitement. From R2-D2 to BB-8, Star wars have always managed to add such great character to their droids. This time it’s K-2SO, and as always they never seize to amaze.

Furthermore, by the final shots of ROGUE ONE, you’d find yourself doing cartwheels while having your jaws dropped at the same time.  The characters acting are absolutely breath-taking (No pun intended Anakin) and you’d even find the IP man knocking storm troopers every now and then.

CityShor rates the ROGUE ONE a 4.5 out of 5. Do not wait any longer, May the Force be with you!
