Hello Foodies, it’s time for some yummy weekend indulgence. This time it’s about the cuisine from up-north served at the newest restaurant in town. We talking about Numeron. Last time we covered their ambiance and few of their mocktails and starters, that we loved. This time it’s about their North Indian cuisine.

Visit any corner of the city and you will find a food joint or a restaurant claiming to serve you authentic Punjabi cuisine. But then there’s a secret to it. After much of hogging and the subsequent ill effects of frequenting the throne (with a flush, obviously), we found out the secret. There’s none. Every other joint will serve you North Indian cuisine but with a Gujju twist (or to say the Gujjau tadka)

But here we were amazingly pleased when we had the first morsel of the North Indian cuisine at Numeron. Trust us, it was absolutely finger licking. This time around, we let Numeron  choose for us the best of their North Indian cuisine and serve us. What we experienced next was the perfect blend of some amazing flavors and authentic spices all in that perfect measure to create that wow feeling.

First was the bread platter. An assortment of breads. Kulcha, Nan’s and Tandoori roti’s. Crisp and light. The best part was the fact that breads here don’t give you that heavy feeling. They are light yet amazing delicious.

Moving on to the vegetables. We were served with two variants of Paneer and three variants for Vegetable subzi’s. Paneer Raiala and Paneer Rada Masala. It’s just not the peculiar names but then the taste too was quite good. The paneer was as fresh as a morning lily. One can break the paneer just by blowing into it. Both of the paneer dishes had their unique flavor and neither of it had that gujarati tadka in it. Thankfully so.

Veg Grill, Veg Sahi Korma and Veg shingapuri were the three veg subzi’s that we relished. Again the spices, the vegetables and the flavors were truly delicious. Neither were the vegetables over cooked nor were the spices underutilized. The true symphony of vegetables and spices with that distinct North Indian Flavor.

The Chef at Numeron does know what is expected out of him and he delivers the goods, in this case some mouth watering delicacies. It’s a rare combination to find these days, a soothing ambiance that’s not loud but peaceful for you to enjoy your time with your loved ones and some brilliantly cooked food.

They say “Let your actions speak louder than words” but our experience at Numeron and we thought of giving it a twist “Let your burps speak louder than words”

This time it’s the North Indian cuisine at Numeron, next time we unravel a different cuisine. So till the next time, stay tuned but don’t stay hungry.
