Ragasthan 2018 the first ever Desert Fest is here!
Sun, sand, music, horizon and the starry sky! The best of all comes together in a beautiful composition to give you an unparalleled experience. The music festival, Ragasthan: the ragas in the dunes of Rajasthan that will sway your soul into ‘Magic-stan’.
The Ragasthan Festival will be held from 23rd to 25th of February 2018, in the beautiful sand dunes of Jaisalmer. The festival comprises of music, camping related activities, art installations and cook-out sessions in the desert. You have the option of bringing your own tent or rent one with them. In either case, you need to inform them.
This is the third edition of the Ragasthan festival which is an enticing confluence of Music, Culture and Art Festival in the aesthetic dunes of the Thar Desert which are, 50 km from the Jaisalmer town.
What other activities can you expect there? A great line of musicians, SunDowners party, Theatre in the dunes, Open Air Cinema, Dune Bashing, Kite Flying, Para-motoring and Hot Air Balloon Rides, Star Gazing Sessions, Bon Fire sessions and fire dancers, Art Galleries and Installations of artists from across India and the world.
Ragasthan has over the time developed a community comprising of photographers, dancers, visual artists, activists, painters, musicians, fire dancers, stargazers, off-roaders, bikers, writers, body mapping artists, campers, videographers, film-makers and many more from different walks of life. Thus, even if you are travelling alone; be assured to find Likeminded Company there.
Now here is an interesting piece of information especially for all the bike lovers! Harley Davidson is a ride partner to the festival and 50+ riders are scheduled to ride to Jaisalmer from Ahmedabad itself. What are you waiting for? Jump on the bandwagon!
An interesting concept of this festival is, apart from attending, you can also participate. This festival also provides an opportunity to artists who may want to perform at the festival or showcase their work – paintings or art installations.
