The Smurfs 2 Movie Review

Attributes: Movie Reviews

This week you don’t have a lot of good options for movies. The most awaited movie, of this week, we believe is Smurf 2.

Blue cute looking creatures are back with a different back drop this time. The earlier version was set in New York; however, this version is shot in Paris. Are you a serious Smurf fan? Or you find Smurfette the cutest? Well, by and large nothing is changed in the movie aka characters, cuteness, human characters, Papa Smurf, etc. The sequel animation is kinda a bit of an action animated comedy “The Smurfs 2″. The evil wizard Gargamel creates a couple of mischievous Smurf creatures called ‘the Naughty’ that he hopes will let him harness the all-powerful, magical Smurf essence. But when he discovers that only Smurfette ‘Chulbuli in Hindi’ knows the secret spell that can turn the Naughty into real Smurfs, Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings “Paris”. Gargamel who has now become an international star as the world’s greatest sorcerer is all set with his master plan to become the post powerful person in the world. Here comes Papa Smurf and its cute little, not-so-strong, team with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow who undertakes adventurous journey to rescue her from evil magician.

Will Smurfette, who has always felt that she is different from the other blue Smurfs, find a new bonding with the Naughty Surfs? Can Papa Smurf will be able to rescue her daughter???

Though you know the answer, you still have to watch it to see those cute little expressions which will definitely bring a smile on your face. Well, while there is nothing to complain about the movie, but it doesn’t have a high point or anything remarkable… it doesn’t make you feel ‘wow’ at any moment. In fact, the best part of such animation movies are expressions, one weird-notable character, awesome one-liners, and happy go lucky ending… though director has tried giving essence of each of this aspect but it
doesn’t entertain you to the fullest. Having said that, if you are wondering whether to take your kid for this one… oh yes, sure.
