We all know that India has one of the best crafts in the world which needs to be preserved and given due respect. A movement in this direction was started by CRAFTROOTS, an initiative of Gramshree, which provides a unique platform that showcases and brings into spotlight the best of craftsmanship from Gujarat. It aims to empower artisans by connecting them to their resources, tools and network of partner members. Our mission is to revive, preserve and share the craft traditions of Gujarat and develop a sustainable and scalable model for craft development.

Through wide varieties of craft forms, Craftroots create awareness in the market about the skills, time and creativity that artisans invest into their craft. They connect Artisans, NGOs, Self-Help Groups, Cooperatives, Businesses, Corporations, Design & Management Institutes, Individuals and Experts such as designers, educators, students, and customers so that they can interrelate in a better and productive way.

To celebrate the art and culture with the people and provide them with the rich knowledge behind every single craft, Craftroots decided to open an exquisite and exotic, one of its kind store where in not only they have the display of large variety of fascinating products but also people can learn and understand the process behind each and every product by the artisan himself. The store has artisan labor of love which is being showcase at people’s doorstep.

Currently with four stores, Craftroots exhibits more than 27 varieties of rich craft forms which includes Bandhani, Rogan Art, Mudwork, Stone Work, Block Printing, Pottery, Lacquer work, Weaving, Leather, Kalamkari, Paper work to name a few.
