99 Varieties is a dosa stall in Koramangala and HSR layout which has become a popular street food offering in Bangalore. The best part of this eatery is that it arrives in an AUTORICKSHAW and to add to the charm, all of the 99 varieties of dosa are freshly made inside in this auto itself!

This portable eatery comes out on the streets of Bangalore around 5 PM and has innovatively been offering a different take on dosas - something like a fusion of the traditional dosa with mind-blowing flavours. Quite different from the traditional dosas and roasts, this joint offers 99 varieties of South Indian Pancakes which are all made up from various permutations and combinations using tomato, onions, capsicums, paneer, cheese.

Having tried over 3 types from the 99, for me, the best of them all was the Paneer-Cheese-Pav Bhaaji-Masala Dosa. A blend of grated paneer and cheese smothered over with a generous layer of Pav bhaaji Masala - it gave me a literal food coma!

The Mushroom Cheese Dosa sells like hot cakes at this joint. Their Mysore Special Masala Dosa had a mixture of all ingredients: from beetroot to cauliflower, everything is mashed and mixed for making it up and it can be enjoyed with their fresh coconut chutney and pudina chutney!

These auto drivers/chefs do not overcharge you and they have perfectly priced every Dosa at around Rs.35-70, depending on its filling. I liked the fact that they have maintained this joint in a decent manner - it is hygienic. The veggies and cheese are well arranged and stored and they are perfectly cooked on three super hot iron grills over charcoal. Trust me, there cannot be a healthier and tastier street food snack other than these dosas.

Do take a yummy ride this weekend by eating the finger-licking Dosa made by seasoned auto drivers cum chefs and you would keep visiting them, I bet!
