THALASSA: The newest lounge opens TODAY, on Church Street

If you are in or around Church Street this fine day then, brace yourselves as THALASSA officially opens it's doors TODAY, right above Russh; tending to be, one of the coolest places to spring up, this side of the town, with it's chic interiors and a super relaxed vibe, in a very 'laid back' avatar!

Decked up in white and blue (rather turquoise), the newest eatery offers a luxe indoor and a spacious outdoor sitting arrangement that spreads across two storeys. Top it off with pretty attractions on their wall, and you are more than comfortable to lounge for hours together.
Speaking of the food and the drinks, trust us when we say even writing about it is mouth-watering. Our experience was that brilliant! THALASSA is the one place we can safely conclude has an expansive menu.

We started our evening with a series of lovely cocktails that span from vodka to bourbon to rum as well.
A fusion of caramel and apple, does sound enticing and when you add Kettle One Vodka to it; it simply cannot get any better and that is what defines their take on a CARAMEL APPLE MARTINI! More on the vodka based intoxicators, SEA BREEZER stands out with it's blend of pure cane rum, a sweet and sour mix, grape juice, topped with lime soda.

For Jim Bean lovers, THE PERFECT AUTUMN should be the perfect order with it's glorious mix of Jim Beam Bourbon with dry vermouth, plum bitter, sugar syrup, and orange juice. And if you are looking for something sweet then a concoction of Captain Morgan spiced rum, white rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, banana monin, and raspberry puree; could never go wrong when you ask for the GRAND BAHAMA MAMA!

Such a worthy array of beverages, call for a worthy array of appetizers to go along-with the same; and THALASSA didn't shy their as well when it served us with a delicious platter of BEACH CRAB CAKES, served with a red pepper coconut cream sauce.
And if you are looking for something spicy then, the MALAYSIAN CHILLI CHICKEN. Just a teensy heads up, this is DEFINITELY not for the faint hearted for, the chicken is made in an extremely spicy Sambal Chilli. But, again as tears were running down our cheeks, we simply could not keep the fork down.

With half of their menu generously catering to vegetarians; the MEZE MIX platter, rightly boasting of pita bread served with hummus, labneh, baba ganoush, tabbouleh and falafel, makes for a good pair with the CARAMEL APPLE MARTINI. While we are sure the PITA QUESADILLAS, stuffed with spinach, corn and cheese, would go with just about anything when dipped in the cilantro pesto hummus, that is served on the side.

With all the goodness, served with a cheerful smile; the experience doesn’t account for a pretty and tasteful plate alone. It’s the effort that runs across, that asks for your presence at THALASSA today itself. Cheers.
