Can ethnic be ethical without compromising on style? At this place, you bet! We visited The Shop and fell in love with the Indian textiles and handicrafts which were beautifully showcased in their spacious store. With high-quality workmanship and sustainable social processes, this brand takes ethical fashion up another notch!

We loved the traditional pieces, designed to be worn day in and out with a sharp focus on materials and how they interact with the body. The Shop pairs fun with functionality, form with comfort, and character with colour. Their capsules are a series of bite-sized stories that emphasize mood, rather than delving into the plot. The Shop also boasts of a ‘Renew Project’ where they design from waste fabrics and scrap material making the world a greener place, one product at a time. Their Men’s line Farid incorporates global sensibilities and simple silhouettes that sport a comfortable yet chic look.

Be it linen, wooden décor or the upcycled products, each piece is carefully handcrafted, celebrating natural imperfections of the hand at work. Mindful of our global footprint, they do their best to minimize our impact on the environment by using solar heated water for our dyeing section, harvesting of rain water for reuse and recharge of local groundwater and treatment of all effluents resulting from our production processes.

What we liked best is that every last bit of excess fabric is used to create assorted pieces of great aesthetic and economic value in their workshop with nothing going to waste.

The Shop has recently added a tie and dye unit in their workshop and the best part is that you get a free factory tour! Just drop by their Noida outlet and attend one of their workshops on block printing, screen printing or tie and dye to experience the process firsthand!

So, we’re saying if you are a fan of ethnic prints, embroiders,  quilts and contemporary textiles, then this place is a must visit!
