Despite all the hustle bustle around the town, located in the most chaotic area of Lower Parel, surrounded amidst all the office stands is this newly opened, quiet and calm resto is Desi Culture.

While the name gets us curious the mystery wasn’t solved until we decided to hit the place. As the name suggests, the place is decorated with many trendy props and you surely would feel that desi vibe here. A narrow staircase that leads you down into the bistro and the mild lights give you a feel on landing into a basement party.

Upon entering you are greeted with a pleasant smile of the attendants and decorated niches and grooves to get your buddies comfy. The interior consists of various handmade miniature items like earthen pots, lamps etc. decorated finely on the shelves  separating the tables .

As for the food, you have all sorts of north Indian as well as a few Chinese items both veg and non veg.We decided to go vegetarian and the first dish itself won our heart. The burnt garlic paneer was perfectly tossed in garlic and the fresh paneer made us crave for more. For the main course we stuck to our favorite paneer lalbabdar which was well served in ample quantity along  with butter naans served on a wooden cot For the appetizers you have a wide variety and we went for the blue lemon with mint leaves, a perfect drink  for all the non alcoholics. While if you still decide to booze we have a good news for you, you get drinks from the menu of bar stock exchange located adjacent to it, and the rates are similar too, so make sure to use your stock tactics!

To sum it up, it’s a value for money, pocket-friendly resto. The service and quality not to mention quantity as well is what makes this place a perfect one to crash in with your friends.
