Remember as school kids how we all loved to feel the tingle of the Crackling Powder on our tongues? Well, Café Rettro promises to hit you with nostalgia with their signature Blaster shake with your once favourite, Crackling Powder as the hero. Margaritas, a beloved drink just received a twist! Café Rettro’s Frozen and Virgin Margaritas have one thing in common! They all pack a hot spicy punch! How? One word. Chilli.

At Café Rettro, the range of juices, shakes and margaritas is endless! Every name has something different to offer and you cannot resist the temptation of having it all. We tried a few of their unique juices and shakes.

We were mighty impressed with the Zoom Juice. It was a crazy tantalizing mix of Sweet Lime, Lemon and Rose. The citrusy Sweet Lime and Lemon receive quite the uplift from the rich Rose flavour. The Strawberry Orange Blossom was freshness pulped into a glass with raw and fresh strawberries paired with Orange. The Berry and Citrus flavours gelled quite well together.

The Blaster Shake is hands down the most unique shake on their menu! Comfort flavours of Strawberry and Vanilla are doused with Crackling Powder which makes quite a noise when it hits your tongue! Truly, a Crackling Revelation! The Tiranga was a rather hard to set-up isolation of three layers of flavours in a glass. With diverse flavours such as the Sitaphal, Mango and Strawberry, it made for a triple boost of a drink. The Chickoo Chocolate was a simple yet a tasty shake of smooth Chickoo pulp with a hint of Chocolate.

Café Rettro’s newest range of Frozen Margaritas is quite an innovation. We tried 3 of these interesting drinks. The Guava Chilli was an icy, slushy mix of Pink Guava pulp with a spicy, quintessential hit of Green Chilli. It can be too hot! The Mango Niada was a unique sweet and spicy mix of slushy mango pulp with a subtle spicy hint of the Red Chilli. The Kiwi Killer was a dark green coloured icy mix of Kiwi and Red Chilli.

With an eclectic mix of colours, these Margaritas are more than just interesting. Add to that an enormous, funky, crazy and an equally innovative list of Juices and Shakes! Head to Café Rettro to experience the magic of these virgin drinks as they show you how to beat the heat.
