Annapurna Snack Centre: A Gem in Raviwar Peth

Attributes: Street Food

This simple joint that we are telling you about sells typical Puneri fried dishes only for 4 hours in the evening every day. Run by women who are superb ‘sugarans’, this eatery is called Annapurna Snack Centre where you’ll get to enjoy ‘Brahmani’ style Batata Vada, Thalipeeth, Coconut Karanji, etc.

How to reach: Come straight towards Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple from Shanivar Wada, Take the first left after you cross Laal Mahaal chowk and Vasant Theatre, Annapurna would be on your left. It won’t be difficult to sport it considering the crowd that is waiting outside.

Annapurna would be probably the only place in entire town serving “bhajanicha Vada’ and ‘olya naralachi karanji’. Anything you ask for is freshly prepared and served hot so you don’t miss out on any of the minutest joy of eating your evening snack.

With the delicious batata vada you have an option of Pav, but we suggest you enjoy the vada by itself along with the sweetish chutney. The vada has the right proportion of fresh spices, chillies and a dash of lime. Be assured about the quality since all the dishes are prepared home-style by women.

We suggest you decide to skip the dinner and enjoy everything on their menu since every dish they serve is a must have!

Timing: 5 PM to 9 PM

Address: Annapurna Snack Centre, Tapkir Galli, Opp Vasant Theatre, Raviwar peth.
