“Khanyasathi Janma Apula”, Marathi manus will easily understand and will relate to this saying. For those who don’t understand Marathi, here is the meaning, ‘We are born to eat’. Well, we foodies swear by this and this place does justice to this saying by serving some lip-smacking Marathi delicacies ‘ekdum’ traditional style.

Everything right from Tomato Saar to Phodnicha Bhaat, everything is homely and was served to us with a lot of love. Yes, that love is ‘love for food’.

We started with tomato saar which is Marathi style tomato soup with some coconut in it and a super tadka of jeera and pure ghee.  You should have at least 2 bowls to satisfy the taste-buds.

Then came our traditional starters, Moong Dal Bhaji and Kothimbir Wadi served with spicy ‘thecha’. Freshly fried with wonderful aromats in both preparations, makes both these a must have at this place.

Thalipeeth, roasted not fried, is typical ‘gharguti’ served with a dollop of home-made white butter and dahi. Paisa Vasool!

Phodnicha Bhaat s really something that you never dreamt of eating at a restaurant, but here is a restaurant serving it. Proper taste and proper feel since is made on order only. Same is with Masale Bhaat which reminds you of the one that you get eat at typical Marathi weddings. Thumbs up!
