Color Me Happy: Festive Preview by Nandita Sikchi

Attributes: Clothing, Chudiddar/Anarkalis

Elegance and wearablity overlap as Nandita Sikchi unveils her collection of contemporary traditional wear in a festive preview ‘Color Me Happy’. If you take pride in exclusivity and pleasure in details, Nandita’s work is a sartorial promise. And if the glimpses have caught your attention already, head to the preview for more, this Wednesday 11 am onwards.

These are limited key pieces; you can enjoy the possession of. Her assemblage has graced the shelves of some of the finest curated fashion stores and also the wardrobes of the whos who of the city. A self confessed perfectionist, Nandita leaves no room for compromise when it comes to finesse and that’s where her client loyalty roots from. ‘I can spot an error even from the cctv camera of my studio’ she giggles as she shares. From what we saw, flawlessness, finishing and hand embroidery seamlessly came together with each piece we browsed… our favorite being the teal & pink floras with the precision pleats and kalis tailored like we have never seen before.

When it comes to silhouettes, she likes to stick to her guns – simplicity. Time tested classic silhouettes make way for easy breezy anarkalis, long kurtas, tunics and kotis. Dotted with subtle embroidery (gotta patti, mukesh and more) we find them mostly a canvas for minimal statement jewelry and maybe a vintage LV !

The collection flirts gently with summery hues and antiquated floral prints… almost like a vintage postcard sent into a neon era. We saw pink in all its glory be it marshmallow pastels with punchy florals or candy hues with cherubic prints. You exactly know what to expect when it reads’ Color Me Happy’ right?
