What else do you need this winter but some good food and good company to live the best of the seasons of the year! And especially with Uttarayan coming up, just like kites, Undhiyoo and Chikki has also just taken over our minds.

To set up the mood more for the epic festival of kites, The Grand Bhagwati is hosting a special Uttarayan Food Festival at Cafe Piano till 15th January 2017 from 7 PM to 11 PM every day! Priced at Rs. 999 (plus taxes) per person for adults and Rs. 699 (plus taxes) per person for kids, TGB offers a grand buffet lined up with Indian, Oriental, Asian cuisine and even gourmet desserts but the best of all is the special Uttaryan Menu that they have introduced.

Along with the epicurean menu, the hospitality of the staff at TGB is definitely worth mentioning, apart from being cordial, they walk extra miles to make your dining experience nothing but royal.  And the ambience at Cafe Piano adds all the more charm to this one of its kind festival as well.

We focussed on their Uttarayan Special menu which consisted of the following dishes and here's what we think about them!

Hare Moong ka Shorba: Like all good things, Hare Moong ka Shorba set an anticipation for the food that was about to follow - it was indeed piping hot, delicious and soul satiating!

Assorted Starters, Assorted Indian Breads, Assorted Indian Papad:

Moreover, just like their main course, the starters, papads and their variety of Indian Breads were delicious and made up to the T as well. From Bhakris, Naans, Parathas till Theplas - their bread basket that everything you could as for just as their starters!

Veg Tawa Masala: Nicely sauteed with veggies, gravies and koftas, dunking a soft flatbread in this accompaniment literally floods your palate with joy!

Aani Basar and Makai nu Bhartu: Totally creamy and finger-licking, Aani Basar is a must try here and so is Makai nu Bhartu which is
handcrafted with sheer finesse and rightfully so, it ends up giving you warmth!

Undhiyoo, Chandni Paneer : The show stealer at this food fest, it tasted simply amazing and homely!  All you cream and paneer fans, Chandni Paneer will blow your mind for sure.

Khichdi: Last but not the least, the morsel of their ghee loaded, soothing Khichdi made us relaxed and smile with joy - after all it was that homely yet scrumptious.

Chikkis, Jalebi, Anjeer Akrot Halwa: Aren't the Chikkis a must for Uttarayan? How could TGB be an exception? Along with crispy, sugary Chikkis, their staff even served us nicely made jalebis and luscious Anjeer Akrot Halwa - and they won our hearts instantly!

Do go to TGB before a adrenaline pumped kite flying session this Uttarayan - the good folks at TGB are hosting it till 15th January just for you all!
